Henry Joseph Hussey began his journey into the world of firearms as the assistant manager of Holland and Holland, absorbing as much insight as possible before joining James Lang & Co. – Lang was clearly impressed by his new employee as the business was soon renamed Lang & Hussey. With dreams of his own and a sense of restless ambition, Joseph decided to put his faith in the hard-earned experience he had garnered alongside the greats of his day, taking the courageous step of forming his own company in 1898 – HJ Hussey Ltd. Enjoying a resurgence in modern times, today the HJ Hussey legacy is represented by some of the finest, most beautiful and reliable guns available.
