Sportarm West London – PA / Administrative Assistant – September 2025
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

Sportarm West London is seeking a PA / Administrative Assistant to provide dedicated support to our Manager and wider team. Sportarm is an award-winning gunroom and retailer with locations in West London and Dorset. Known for our expertise, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service, we are proud to represent some of the world’s leading brands in shooting, clothing, and accessories. Our West London Gunroom is a busy hub where service excellence is paramount, and we are now looking to expand our team with a dedicated PA / Administrative Assistant to support the Manager and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible, and highly organised individual to provide dedicated support to Archie, our West London Manager, as well as the wider Gunroom team. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and play a key role in the effective and efficient running of the Gun Room. As a representative of Sportarm, you will also act as an ambassador for the brand, handling all interactions with professionalism and discretion.
Your Role
As PA / Administrative Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to support Archie, our West London Gunroom Manager, ensuring his workload and priorities are managed smoothly. Alongside this, you will provide vital administrative support to the wider Sportarm team. Your daily responsibilities will be varied, including but not limited to:
- Acting as Archie’s first point of support, handling calls, managing his diary, scheduling and organising meetings and appointments
- Handling bookings, reservations, and online transactions
- Coordinating and booking travel arrangements and itineraries
- Maintaining and updating databases and filing systems
- Supporting the growth of the customer database through CRM activities and digital channels
- Assisting with stock booking in and out processes
- Providing administrative support to the wider store team where required
- Taking on other ad-hoc administrative and organisational tasks to ensure smooth business operations
Key Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven experience in a PA, admin, or support role
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrate confidence, reliability, and a proactive attitude
- Be capable of prioritising and working effectively under pressure
- Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be comfortable using Outlook and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Industry knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential

Sportarm West London – Senior Gun Room Sales Person
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) – September 2025

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a confident, motivated and personable Senior Sales Person to join the team at our prestigious London Gun Room. The ideal candidate will be experienced in high-value, face-to-face sales. While direct experience in the gun trade is not essential, a genuine interest in country sports and the outdoor lifestyle is. This role demands someone with charisma, emotional intelligence and the ability to build lasting relationships with discerning clients from across the UK and abroad.
Your Role
As a key member of the Sportarm West London team, you will play an integral role in helping customers select the perfect shotgun, a highly personal and often emotional decision for our clientele. You’ll receive hands-on, one-to-one training from leading experts in the field, gaining in-depth knowledge of our products, heritage brands and the craftsmanship behind every gun we sell.
Whether you’re advising on a bespoke shotgun or a carefully curated accessory, you will offer a seamless and tailored service that reflects the prestige of the Sportarm brand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert, personalised advice to clients purchasing shotguns and shooting accessories
- Listening intently to clients to understand their preferences, goals, and experience
- Building long-term relationships with a loyal, high-net-worth customer base.
- Ensuring the showroom environment is always welcoming, elegant, and in keeping with our brand
- Engaging in continuous professional development through structured, on-the-job training
Key Skills & Knowledge
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A proven background in premium or high-value retail or customer-facing sales
- A polished, confident, and engaging manner
- Excellent listening skills and emotional intelligence
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working with CRM tools, EPOS systems, Microsoft Office, and digital stock systems
- A strong sense of discretion, integrity and security awareness
- A full UK driving licence
- A keen interest in the outdoor lifestyle and country pursuits (shooting experience is an advantage, not a requirement)

Who We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an individual with strong leadership qualities and a proven track record in retail and e-commerce management. As an ambassador for Sportarm, you will demonstrate a customer-focused approach, ensuring our high service standards are upheld. Engaging with our customers and representing Sportarm with confidence and charm are essential. An affinity for country sports and the countryside is also important.
The Role
As our Retail & E-commerce Manager based in Dorchester, we will be looking for you to elevate Sportarms retail experience and presence. You will be overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Dorchester store and multifaceted e-commerce platform, ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience.
You will need to monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to stay ahead of the game. At the same time, developing and implementing effective sales strategies to maximise revenue and online sales growth.
Skills & Knowledge:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Strong IT literacy, including experience with EPOS systems, Shopify, Google Merchant Centre, Meta Commerce Manager, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Expertise in visual merchandising, both in-store and online.
- Inventory management and control.
- Order fulfilment, processing, packing and sending out orders.
- Ability to provide excellent customer support.
What We Offer
At Sportarm, we highly value work-life balance. Ideally, this position would be a full-time role. Tuesday to Saturday, 08:30 until 17:30. However, we would consider two people in this position working part-time.
Based at our Dorchester Store and Head Office. You will find our work environment is truly exceptional, providing you with a fantastic setting to excel. Rest assured, our remuneration package is highly competitive, 4 weeks annual holiday, a company bonus scheme, pension and generous staff discount.
