When standard isn’t enough
Founded in 1967 by Mario Abbiatico and Remo Salvinelli – a skilled engraver and equally experienced actioner respectively – the two men could never have imagined that their company was destined to one day be ranked among the finest gunmakers in Italy. In 1975 FAMARS took the decision to specialise exclusively in bespoke shotguns and quickly distinguished themselves through their attention to detail – a trait perhaps most evident in the exquisite engraving and handcrafted woodwork displayed on their guns. Abbiatico & Salvinelli guns are built for those collectors with an eye for beautiful workmanship, though this has never been an excuse to compromise when it comes to innovation. From their early Castore model, the world’s first signal triggered self-cocking hammer gun, to the Jorema, their pinless sidelock design, these guns continue to put a smile on the faces of art connoisseurs and engineers alike.
