The Cavalier has a reassuringly solid feel whilst remaining well-balanced with the precisely measured 28” barrel and 14 5/8″ wonderfully figured straight hand walnut stocks. The actions still retain most of the original colour hardened finish whilst still being able to clearly see the elegant scroll work, the barrels have the makers name and “The Cavalier” engraved on them, with the added benefit of being numbered 1 and 2 in gold. The action and furniture are in excellent condition for the age, and with a total weight of 6lb 5oz these guns really are a dream to handle. A superb addition to anyone’s collection, these Holland & Holland The Cavalier guns do not come up on the pre-owned marked often.
