Made in 1935, the gun was not collected until 1947 by owner Major W. R. James who has been serving as an officer in the Gurkha Rifles. Manufactured at the height of English gun making this particular model is perfectly balanced with 28" barrels which are choked 1/4 and 1/2, and a 15" straight hand stock. The action features the makers name and ornate scroll engraving and still retains a good deal of its original colour hardened finish.
