From the beginnings of the 19th. Century and up to the early 20th. Century the English city of Sheffield harboured the manufacture of the highest quality knives on the globe. During this period, that has been named "Sheffield's Golden Era", the firm of Joseph Rodgers & Sons were the top knife makers and their products were sold and appreciated worldwide. This fact was recognized and rewarded by their Appointment as Suppliers to the King by no less than five British sovereigns: George IV, William IV, Victoria, Edward VII and George V.The knife has many features expected of a quality tool including leather awl, blade, corkscrew, cartridge extractor 12g and 16g and cutter blade, it even has spare bolts for repairing ones reigns whilst out hunting.
