Boss Sidelock Side by Side 12g

Finished by the elite London maker in 1970 it remains in the same condition today as when delivered four decades ago!  It retains 100% of the original colour hardening covering the superbly engraved action. It has 29” barrels,  2 3/4 “ chambers  and a 14 3/4” richly figured stock. One would struggle to find such a perfect example again. Presented with a complete set of Boss accessories in its makers leather motor case. Exquisite to use as well as offering exceptional investment potential.

Purdey Sidelock Side by Side Pair 12g

These astonishingly pretty sidelocks are in new condition having had very little use. They were delivered about 25 years ago and are presented in their original motor case with all paperwork. They are very well engraved, have all the colour hardening, 28” barrels and a 15 1/4” one piece stocks. An excellent investment.

Beesley Boxlock Ejector Pair 16g

A very unusual find, especially in this calibre and condition. They have 28” barrels balanced by 15” richly figured stocks decorated with drop points and gold ovals. The actions are delicately engraved with scroll work and have at least 50% of the original colour retained. Presented in quite superb condition in their leather double motor case and weighing little over 6lbs , a treasure to share with a day in the field.

Holland & Holland Royal Sidelock Side by Side 12g

This wonderful Royal was made circa 1930 and has the very desirable features of a self opening action and hand detachable locks. It has delicate floral and scroll work on a brush finished action complimented by gold banded cocking indicators and the maker’s name within a detailed banner. It has 28” barrels with excellent measurements and with its dreamy handling qualities and the fineness of its action’s operation it will be a pleasure in the field as well as an excellent investment.

AYA Number 2 Round Body s/s Pair 20g

A very nice example of modern round body AYA Number 2 sidelocks in 20g ordered by their previous owner with a Number 1 wood upgrade hence the dark and richly figured stocks measuring 15” and in a straight hand configuration with matching splinter forends. The actions are coin finished displaying the engraving well and are balanced by 28” barrels and presented in an aluminium flight case in excellent condition.

William Evans Sise By Side Pair 12g

From the turn of the last century a very fine pair of London boxlock ejectors from the period when William Evans had left the Purdey gunmakers and was making guns in his own right. They have deeply carved fences and very fine floral and scroll engraving, well figured 15 1/4” stocks and they have 28” barrels. Presented in superb condition.

Woodward Sidelock Side by Side 12g

Built in 1909 is this treasure from the London Makers bought by Purdey in 1948. It incredibly retains a good percentage of the original colour hardening complimenting the delightful loral and scroll engraving that profusely covers the lock plates. It has 29" barrels and a very well figured stock and is in stunning condition, having passed through the decades with very little use and retaining superb bore measurements and barrel wall thicknesses.

Abbiatico & Salvinelli Round body O/U 28g

An extremely elegant round bodied 28g with a rounded and deeply figured long stock with matching forend balanced by 30” barrels. Its action and all ironwork are fully engraved by a master Italian engraver with a most unusual deep Celtic scroll and floral work. Pre-owned yet only a season old it remains in new condition presented in its makers case complete with accessories.

Beretta SO3 EELL Gamescene Sidelock 12g

This extraordinarily good example comes straight from top drawer of the fine Beretta stable. It was finished in 1985 with particular detail given to the extensive gamescene panorama comprising pheasant mallard and woodcock profusely covering the lock plates. Further decoration includes filigree top lever and  gold crown. It has a 14 3/4” deeply figured pistol gripped stock and matching game forend and a hand cut tapered rib fitted to the 28” barrels. It is presented in new condition in its original makers case.

These really are so elegant with their delightfully engraved round actions. It has 29” barrels and a very well figured straight hand stock. It is well presented in its original makers leather case, all from the early 1900’s. Very collectable!
